Matrix Metals Awarded its First African Project
The mining division of Gauteng-based engineering firm Thuthuka Group Limited (TGL), Matrix Metals has been awarded its first major project for a limestone operation in Mozambique. The contract encompasses the feasibility study up to bankable level for the exploitation of a Limestone resource and the subsequent development of the resource for the production of Limestone and related products as well as cement.

Gauteng-based multidisciplinary engineering firm Thuthuka Group Limited has strengthened its offering to the petrochemical industry through the acquisition of ERD (Pty) Ltd, a Sasolburg-based company that specialises in the fabrication, refurbishment and repair of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, economisers, boilers, finned tubes, tanks, silos, pressurised systems, ducting and general structural steel work, predominately for the chemical and petrochemical industries.

Thuthuka Investment Sparks 'Buy' Recommendation for Globe Metals & Mining
Australian stockbroking firm Lonsec Limited has updated its coverage of Globe Metals & Mining and issued a buy recommendation on the company. The buy recommendation is based upon the recent US$10.6 million investment by South African engineering firm Thuthuka Group Limited to fund 85 per cent of the estimated cost of the bankable feasibility study into Globe’s Kanyika Niobium Project in Malawi.
