Gauteng-based multidisciplinary engineering firm Thuthuka Group Limited has implemented the ISO 9001 Quality Management System across a specified range of its services. This also consolidates similar Quality Management Systems already operating in some of Thuthuka’s subsidiary companies.
The DQS certification ISO 9001:2008 accreditation is for the provision of multidisciplinary engineering, construction, project & programme management and project finance services for the chemical, mining, metallurgical and industrial markets in South Africa.
ISO (International Organisation for Standardisation) standards provide companies with requirements or give them guidance on good management practice. ISO 9001:2008 is the latest version of the world's most widely used standard for quality management systems.
TGL’s Tom Marsden says, “It is anticipated that TGL’s ISO 9001 certification will increase confidence in the products and services provided by the engineering firm, as well as amongst our business partners and suppliers, while bolstering our tender process for procurement contracts.”
