George is the Managing Director of Thuthuka Construction a subsidiary company of the company Thuthuka Group Ltd.
He is responsible for the Construction interests of the Group which include the Civil, Structural Steel, Electrical and Instrumentation disciplines.
George joined the Thuthuka Group in July 2008 and has been involved in Construction activities in South Africa since 1980. He was employed with Grinaker Construction, Group Five Roads and Grinaker /LTA in the capacity as Contracts Manager, Operational Director, International Operations Director and Regional Director.
He has been involved with many of the large International projects outside South Africa, in countries such as Botswana, Malawi, Swaziland, and Zambia.
In the previous years he managed Group Fives Road projects in Gauteng and the surrounding provinces.
Prior to his immigration to South Africa in 1980, George worked in the United Kingdom with Several of the Large Construction Companies, in Particular Sir Robert McAlpine.
He was involved in the Construction of the Torness Nuclear Power Station in Scotland where he headed the construction of the Civil Work for Reactor 2. The construction Period of this project was 5 years.
After Graduating From Strathclyde University in Scotland he completed a 2 year period with Scott Wilson and Kirpartrick Consulting Engineers in their Design Office in Glasgow.
